Joe Koufman is responsible for introducing at least three married couples and countless contacts who established business relationships. In early 2014, he parlayed his passion for connecting people with his deep relationships with marketers and agencies to found Setup, which is dedicated to matching brands with marketing agencies.
Before that, Joe spent six years serving as SVP of business development and marketing for Engauge, which grew to over 250 people before it was acquired in 2013 by Publicis Groupe and merged with Moxie. Koufman was personally involved with landing crucial agency clients such as Cisco Systems, Newell Brands, AMC Theatres, Chick-fil-A, AT&T, SweetWater Brewing Company, Cox Enterprises, Turner Broadcasting (now WarnerMedia), The Hershey Company, Hanesbrands, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), General Electric, Food Lion, Supercuts, Scientific Games, National Cash Register (NCR), Van Gogh Vodka, and Beazer Homes.
Joe previously spent eight years at KnowledgeStorm, an online business software directory that was acquired in late 2007 by TechTarget (NASDAQ: TTGT). His business development responsibilities included major technology brands such as Oracle, Infor, Consona, CA, IFS, and Cognos. Previous to KnowledgeStorm, Joe spent five years in retail management in North Carolina, Louisiana, Wyoming, and Georgia.
A sought after speaker, Joe has presented at events held by iStrategy, eMarketing Association, Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), Customer Relationship Marketing Association (CRMA), Ticket Summit (both New York and Las Vegas), Scientific Games, the University of Georgia, Emory University, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, Atlanta Ad Club, and Online Marketing Summit.
When Joe isn’t working, he loves discovering new music (he hosts a weekly radio show at GumboShow.com) and spending time with his twin children, Joss and Radley. He spends many of his weekends supporting his kids’ activities, enjoying the outdoors, and learning to play the 100-year-old trumpet he inherited from his grandmother.
